What is the US Federal Minimum Wage?

The current federal minimum wage in the United States is $7.25 per hour, which became effective on July 24, 2009. The federal minimum wage applies to businesses nationwide.


It's important to note that your business will need to post a poster with information about the federal minimum wage and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) somewhere in your business workplace where employees can easily access it.
